Biomotion Technologies
A Joint Project between Strathclyde and Tokyo Tech Students

Taylor Nimmo
Project Manager and Validation Lead
My primary field of study has been centred around corrosion fatigue at the University of Strathclyde where I performed corrosion fatigue tests to better understand the loading frequency for industrial pumps. Out with my studies I have represented my country as a senior athlete since I was 20.

Ryan Kirk
Technical Lead and System Architecture
I am a final year student at the University of Strathclyde, studying Aero-Mechanical Engineering. My interests include mathematical modelling and simulation, and optimisation problems. I hope to find a career in the aerospace industry after the completion of my studies.

Cameron Nelson
Research Lead and Communications Lead
My past research interests include the mechanics of complex fluids and biomaterials which will be useful during this project. After I have finished my fifth year of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, I wish to begin a career either in the biomedical or energy sector.

Kei Kunimatsu
Prototype Development
My graduate major is in systems and control engineering here at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. After completing my studies, I would like to work in an international job in the transport sector. Somewhat stereotypically, I also have a part-time job as a platform attendant which is mainly pushing people on to trains.

Takayuki Kishi
Display Development
Like Kei, I also am studying for a postgraduate degree in systems and control engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. I do not finish for another 18 months but I think I would like to design mechanical systems in industry.
About Us
Biomotion Technologies is a group of five students: two from the host university of the Tokyo Institute of Technology and three from the University of Strathclyde. The project was scheduled to run from the end of September 2017 to the middle of December 2017 with a final presentation for the Strathclyde students in January 2018. More details about the team members are shown below.
